Why Read the Mahabharata?

Why Read the Mahabharata?

AThere is a big dilemma in the mind of the mind whether Mahabharata should not be read or it should not be kept at home. There is a verse in the first chapter of Mahabharata:

Brahman Vedarahasyam ca yachchanyat sthalanam maya.

Sangopanishad Chaiva Vedanam Vistarakriya ॥ 62॥

When Vyas ji acquired all the knowledge of Mahabharata through his divine vision, he told the creator of the universe Brahma ji that in this epic he has compiled the secret of the entire Vedas, Upanishads and all their parts and the essence of other scriptures in one place, then Vyas ji was not wrong in saying this. This is the only book which has everything. There is the essence of all the Puranas, the Vedas, the essence of the Upanishads and the story of the Mahabharata. Srimad Bhagavad Gita is also in this. All the Leelas of Lord Shri Krishna are also described in this. The essence of the story of Ramayana also lies in this. The origin of creation is also described in this. Medicine, charity, education, justice, pilgrimages, sea, death, disease, fear, old age, past, present and future are also described in it. Understanding the meaning, this Mahabharata epic has been written by Vigneshwar Shri Ganesh ji. This has been written by Vyas ji to relieve the sorrows of the grieving beings. 261॥

Shraddhadhaanh, always united, always religious.

आसेवन्निममध्यायं नरह पापात प्रमुच्यते ॥ 261॥

It is clearly said in this verse of Mahabharata that whoever has faith and conduct in religion, reads its chapters every day, becomes free from all types of sins. He remains untouched by sorrows even when any kind of crisis arises. It is also said in this Mahabharata that the one who recites it in the morning, evening or afternoon gets freedom from all sins. He gets long life, fame and various types of fame. It is also written in it that once all the gods gathered together and placed the four Vedas on one pan of a scale and Mahabharata on the other pan, then Mahabharata turned out to be heavier than the Vedas. Therefore, without having any kind of doubt, Mahabharata should be kept at home and should be recited daily. Srimad Bhagavad Gita is not just read, it has to be experienced. Only then will its secret be understood.

Yes, this nectar was kept away from us for a long time. Why ? This is a topic of discussion.
